Sapphire Blue

This colour was seen in many collections at Fashion week. This trend is inspired by the gemstone and captures the perfect balance of classic and bold. This colour conveys a sense of luxury and style. The dark shades of this colour would complement a winter wedding exceptionally well.

If you are looking to keep that classic look for your bridal party, pair a sapphire blue dress with white or silver accessories and shoes. For the party type bride, experiment with bright colours such as red, lemon or fuchsia to give your bridal party a sense of creativity and fun.

Unexpected Pastels

Pastel colours for a springtime wedding have been on trend for a while. However, this year’s Fashion Week saw designers playing with different and unexpected pastels such as lavender, sage green and buttercup yellow. These colours will give you a soft and romantic feel for your bridal party.

To accessorise a pastel dress, use neutral colours. Pair the dress with black or white accessories and shoes. If you are looking to be slightly more daring, try mixing the pastel colours with grey or cream accessories, these colours will help in balancing the feminine nature of the pastels.

Pearl Embellishments

Pearl embellishments was another major trend seen in most collections of this year’s New York Fashion Week. The designers used the peals as a prominent feature on the dresses such as on the sleeves or the shoes.

If you are looking to incorporate pearls into the bridal party in a more simplistic way, consider a single or double-strand pearl choker which is paired beautifully with a strapless or off the shoulder dress. Also, consider using coloured pearls, all black or the combination of white and black pearls incorporates a luxurious feel while remaining classic.

Floral Prints

Floral prints have slowly been making their way onto the wedding scene, but Fashion Week has predicted that they will be one of next year’s biggest trends. Designers played with water coloured botanical patterns and actual hand-painted flowers.

The floral pattern will give your bridal party a fun, flirty and festive look and would be perfect for either an autumn or spring wedding. This choice of dress provides an alternative to the pastel colours and will also add a layer of dimension to your bridesmaids.
